what are my main challenges in USA?
discrimination IS ALWAYS THE FIRST CHALLENGE FOR ANY BLACK PERSON IN USA.DESPITE EVERYTHING THAT PEOPLE WANT TO SAY ABOUT PREJUDICE OR LACK OF PREJUDICE,
if you are a BLACK PERSON IN USA, specially an educated and articulated people who wants to advance and do things correctly, THERE IS A LOT OF DISCRIMINATION, profiling, prejudice,
rejection, defamation, etc. I KNOW ABOUT ALL OF THESE VERY WELL SINCE I AM IN USA.THE OTHER MAJOR CHALLENGE IS that the brainless bureaucrats that make immigration laws
HAVE ME MOST OF THE TIMES WITHOUT ALL THE REQUIRED DOCUMENTS TO WORK. ....at the same time, many ignorant people blame me when I am not working.
but, many immigrants work without any papers at all...why don't you?
well, when I go to apply they ask me for all the papers to work...and I am not "many immigrants",
I am me, everyone is different and faces different conditions and challenges. BESIDES THAT, the "informal"
work market works also like a mafia, you have to know someone who can hire you or recommend you to an employer...
OF COURSE, MANY EMPLOYERS HAVE STRONG PREJUDICES AGAINST BLACK MALES.that is the truth.
but, many black people from Africa or other countries are working?
probably, they don't have the personal situation that I have...and they might fit the stereotype
that many employers have about certain immigrants...my situation is kind of atypical...it is easy to see.
with all my education, my personal character and international experience, it is impossible that I can be opinionless
or speechless, the kind of immigrants that many employers might like. I am very humble, but maybe not so docile as many employers would like.
I try to be a "regular immigrant" but with all
the persecution that I have faced in USA I cannot be very normal.
what are your options?
after several long and difficult years in USA, I would like to have the permanent residence so that I can work all the time.
I WONDER HOW IT IS POSSIBLE THAT IN A DEVELOPED COUNTRY SOMEONE CAN BE SO TERRIBLY TORMENTED AND TROUBLED AND THE GOVERNMENT DOESN'T
HELP EFFECTIVELY TO OVERCOME THAT. I need to be FULLY LEGALLY EMPLOYABLE.
why do you say that you are a HERO OF LIFE?
Being in USA -a country with serious racial problems- several years without any resources, any income, any relatives, multi-discriminated (DISCRIMINATION: RACIAL, NATIONAL ORIGIN, INMIGRANT, ETC) , victim of profiling , abused even by some local authorities, harassed, despised, persecuted, defamed, without ALL THE PAPERS TO WORK , without stability, of course facing discrimination not only by some white Americans, but in other groups there is racism too, including some people from my own country in USA (yes, in the latin community there is racism and prejudice too) , also the CULTURAL BARRIERS...remember that I haven't just being in Miami talking Spanish all the time, I have been in the hart of America living together with people with a very different culture , ETC, ETC, well, if after all that you are still doing your best, as educated and righteous as you can be, teaching people the truth, being an example of integrity...OF COURSE, YOU ARE A HERO.
what would you do about such a situation if you made immigration laws?
IF YOU ARE AN IMMIGRANT ADMITTED LEGALLY IN THIS COUNTRY, I GIVE YOU FULL RESIDENCY SO THAT YOU CAN LEGALLY WORK AND HAVE ALL YOUR HUMAN RIGHTS LIKE EVRYONE ELSE OR I PAY YOU A TICKET TO GO TO OTHER COUNTRY. May 14, 2013. /////////////////////////////////

Yo soy un Héroe de la Vida, un pobre inmigrante con muchos desafíos en USA. Soy un inmigrante Latino negro (específicamente un Cubano negro).
¿Cuáles son tus desafíos fundamentales en USA?
La Discriminación es siempre el primer desafío para cualquier persona negra en USA. A pesar de todo lo que la gente diga o quiera decir sobre prejuicios o falta de prejuicios, si eres una persona negra en USA, especialmente una persona educada e integral que quiere avanzar y hacer las cosas correctamente, HAY MUCHA DISCRIMINACION, perfilaje, prejuicios, rechazo, difamación, etc. TODO ESO LO CONOZCO MUY BIEN DESDE QUE ESTOY EN USA. EL OTRO GRAN DESAFIO es que los burócratas descerebrados que hacen las leyes de migración ME TIENEN CASI TODO EL TIEMPO SIN TODOS LOS DOCUMENTOS REQUERIDOS PARA TRABAJAR…al mismo tiempo, muchos ignorantes me culpan a mí cuando no estoy trabajando.
Pero, muchos inmigrantes sin papeles trabajan, por qué tú no?
Bueno, cuando voy a aplicar ellos me piden todos los papeles para trabajar…y yo no soy “muchos inmigrantes”, yo soy yo, cada cual es diferente y enfrenta diferentes condiciones y desafíos. ADEMAS, el mercado de trabajo “informal” funciona como una mafia, tienes que conocer a alguien que te contrate o te recomiende, por supuesto, MUCHOS EMPLEADORES TIENEN PREJUICIOS CONTRA LOS VARONES NEGROS. Esa es la verdad.

Pero, mucha gente negra de Africa u otros países están trabajando…
Probablemente ellos no tienen una situación personal como la mía…y ellos pudieran encajar mejor en los estereotipos que muchos empleadores tienen sobre ciertos inmigrantes…evidentemente, mi situación es algo atípica.
Con toda mi educación, mi carácter personal y mi experiencia internacional, es imposible que yo no tenga opinión y no exprese mis puntos de vista, que no sea proactivo, que es como muchos empleadores quisieran que fueran sus empleados inmigrantes. Yo soy muy humilde, pro tal vez no tan dócil como muchos empleados quisieran. Yo trato de ser un inmigrante “regular”, pero con toda la persecución que he enfrentado en USA, no puedo ser muy “normal”.
¿Cuáles son tus opciones?
Después de varios largos y difíciles años en USA, me gustaría tener la residencia permanente para poder trabajar todo el tiempo. ME PREGUNTO COMO ES POSIBLE QUE EN UN PAIS DESARROLLADO ALGUIEN PUEDA SER TAN TERRIBLEMENTE ATORMENTADO Y ATRIBULADO SIN QUE EL GOBIERNO AYUDE EFECTIVAMENTE A SUPERAR ESA SITUACION. Yo necesito ser Legalmente Empleable todo el tiempo.

¿por qué dices que eres un Héroe de la Vida?
Estar varios años en USA- un país con serios problemas raciales- sin recursos, sin ingresos, sin familiares o allegados , multi-discriminado (DISCRIMINACION: RACIAL, ORIGEN NACIONAL, INMIGRANTE, ETC), víctima de perfilaje, abusado, incluso en ocasiones por autoridades locales, acosado, despreciado, perseguido, difamado, SIN TODOS LOS PAPELES PARA TRABAJAR, sin estabilidad, por supuesto, la discriminación no es solo de parte de algunos Americanos blancos, sino que en otros grupos también hay prejuicios y racismo, incluyendo algunas personas de mi propio país en USA (sí, en la comunidad latina también hay racismo y prejuicio), también están las barreras culturales, ten en cuenta que no he estado todo el tiempo en Miami, hablando en Español, he estado en el corazón de América, conviviendo con personas de una cultura muy diferente, ETC, ETC…bueno, si con todo esto, todavía estás haciendo lo mejor que puedes hacer, tan educado y correcto como sea posible, enseñándole a la gente la verdad, siendo un ejemplo de integridad, claro que eres un héroe.
Si tuvieras potestad para hacer leyes, ¿qué harías con una situación así?

How have I been a victim of abuses in USA?
I have been "in a difficult personal and economic situation", without income
and “unemployable” for some time.
I have been despised, persecuted, harassed, discriminated, profiled,
victim of incitation to hatred and some xenophobia…
all that when I don’t have any income or resources or right to work for some time.
I HAVE BEEN VICTIM OF A CAMPAIGN OF PERSONAL HATRED INCITED BY
SOME LOCAL PEOPLE IN DIFFERENT CITIES.
part of the problem is tha lack of ethics, paranoia
and tendency to abuse the poor by the police or "local secret intrigants"
I am still harassed by different people
